JAPANESE CHAMPLEVE BRASS VASE WITH SIDE HANDLES NOW ELECTRIFIED

A Japanese champleve vase of baluster form with 2 handles decorated overall with stylized peacocks and butterflies in tones of blue and red now electrified as a lamp resting a wooden base. Champleve is a process of filling hollows in metal work with enamel in various colors which is then fired. This lamp is fitted with a custom shade. Vase circa 1920.
