An English Regency style mahogany drum table, the green gilt-tooled leather top above 4 functional drawers, including a divided coin drawer, resting on a reeded quadripartite base ending in brass casters. The top has a slot which was designed to receive gold and silver coins for payment of rent by the tenants of the estate. This is an attractive midsize rent table with excellent proportions. Circa 1840-1860.
