An attractive English inlaid mahogany bedside commode of serpentine form, the front panel embellished with a well-executed satinwood inlaid conch shell. The sides and back consist of spindles and the piece rests on square legs ending in wooden casters. The narrow top shelf and the lower surface both open. A useful and attractive occasional table circa 1800.
