The works of Victorian period American author F. Marion Crawford (1854-1909) an erudite novelist born in Italy, the son of a sculptor. The set includes some of his better known works such as Children of the KIng, a Tale of Italy, Roman Singer and A Lady of Rome. He was also known for his writings on the supernatural. Beautifully bound in dark blue morocco leather with blue marbleized boards and endpapers, the spines with raised bands and gilt tooling. Published by Macmillan and Company, London and New York 1893. An attractive set of the fictional writings of a now almost forgotten American author.
