A handsome English Regency style mahogany writing table with a gilt-tooled tobacco colored leather top. The front has 3 functioning drawers and the back has 3 matching dummy drawers. The piece is supported on reeded downswept legs joined by a high stretcher ending in brass claw feet on casters. The top has various marks and signs of use adding to the character of the piece. An imposing and practical piece of furniture. Circa 1880-1900.
