BRONZE JESTER HOLDING DOLL BY G. GUEYTON (FRENCH 1841-1919).

An exceptionally well-cast bronze sculpture with brown patina depicting a harlequin holding a doll, the elaborately dressed figure with an expressive face and imposing posture resting on a bronze circular base signed "G. Gueyton". This piece has wonderful detail from the hat to the hands and down to the shoes all with mellow brown patination. Base with slight indentation not really noticeable when the piece is upright. Circa 1890-1920.
