AMERICAN EMPIRE REVIVAL MAHOGANY DRESSING CHEST WITH MIRROR

A substantial American Empire Revival period mahogany dressing chest the top with a molded edge and an attached adjustable mirror supported by well-carved standards. The lower case is fitted with 3 deep drawers retaining their original oversize glass pulls, above a pair of cabinet doors, the interior fitted with dressing slides, all framed by beautifully carved columns. The whole rests on large animal paw feet. This piece is of the highest quality with maple and poplar secondary wood. Probably New York origin. Circa 1890-1900.
