MANUEL ROBBE (FRENCH 1872-1936) AQUATINT WOMAN WITH FLOWERS IN REFLECTED MIRROR
$1,200.00
A lovely French black and white etching, aquatint and roulette on Japan paper depicting an elegantly dressed woman with a large hat arranging a flower bouquet resting on a table. The artist skillfully captures her reflection in a nearby mirror. This is a subtle and evocative artwork now matted and framed. A very good impression. Signed in pencil, lower right. Probably from an edition of 100. Manuel Robbe, a Parisian born painter and printmaker, was noted for his experimental approach to printmaking and during his career created more than 200 aquatints and drypoints. Provenance: Bowles/Hopkins Gallery, San Francisco.
