A set of 4 English George II period walnut side chairs of good scale, the undulating crestrail above a vasiform splat with carved volutes, terminating in a balloon seat with drop-in cushions. The cabriole legs ending in pad feet are accented by well-carved shells at the knees. Circa 1730. Provenance: from a prominent Northern California estate.
