PAIR OF ENGLISH STERLING SILVER AND MAHOGANY WINE COASTERS MADE IN 2000

$675.00

A pretty pair of English sterling silver wine coasters with mahogany inserts with central sterling silver bosses, made by W.I. Broadway and Company in Birmingham in the year 2000. Interestingly, these are made in the year of the millenium and instead of the usual letter date stamp, the symbol chosen to mark the year was a cross. Broadway Silversmiths was established in 1901 in Birmingham and still exists today being operated by fourth generation family members. The company achieved widespread recognition on the luxury market for its small scale personal sterling silver items as well as fine tableware and drinkware.
