Emilia Castillo (Mexican b. 1954) A large and impressive hand-hammered silverplated vase made and signed by Emilia Castillo, a celebrated Mexican silversmith, daughter of famed silversmith Don Antonio Castillo. Emilia is known for blending natural inspired imagery with traditional methods of silversmithing. The vase is a good example of her work blending animals and vines in an organic beautifully crafted whole. The upper portion of the vase with a tiger motif and intricate foliate and vine open work.
