NEOCLASSICAL PERIOD DUTCH INLAID EXOTIC WOODS SECRETAIRE ABATTANT
A fine quality Dutch or Northern European Neoclassical style inlaid tulipwood, satinwood and specimen wood secretaire abattant, the counterweighted drop front opens to reveal a fitted interior, the prospect door inlaid with three ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet, and further fitted with 6 small drawers and cubby holes. The writing surface is lined with pale green leather framed by gimp. The cabinet rests on inlaid square tapered legs. Circa 1825.
